When we bought our house a couple of years ago it was already beautifully landscaped. The flowers come and go naturally through the growing season with no help from me. And they thank me to leave them alone or they would die. Ask my houseplants. OK, don't, they are dead.
So, here I am with this gorgeous landscaping, but you can't see my door from the street, so no one can see what the address is. I don't even tell people, I use the neighbors house for a marker. How will an ambulance of fire truck find my house in an emergency? That is something I worry about with seven kids. In the dark it is especially difficult, and that is when most emergencies happen.
What I need is an address plaque on a fake rock from Artificial Rocks Factory, a much cheaper way to get the nice landscaped look of a large rock. Our landscaping is edged with rocks, so fake rocks would fit well. I would like to also balance out the walkway with a welcome plaque on the opposite side. I am kind of symmetrical brained, everything has be even and matching, or why bother?
If the rocks were lite up at night it would make it much easier for emergency vehicles to find your house quickly. And even your friends would appreciate being able to find your house quickly, too, I'm sure. The big trees that hide my front door also block the porch light, making it doubly difficult to find us in the dark.
When I first saw these fake rock address markers I thought they had to be really expensive and out of my league. But they are actually reasonable. Normally they are $299, but for Christmas they are down to $199 with $50 shipping, and if you order by November 29 they will arrive in time for Christmas.
I also thought that since they are lighter than a huge boulder, they are only an inch thick and hollow inside, that they would be easy to steal. However, they come with an anti-theft bolt and the instructions on installing it.
I like the slate grey rocks, but they come in three colors. But the Sandstone would be the one that matches the rocks already lining my landscaping.

Great idea! My mother-in-law is impossible to shop for, but I think one of these fake rocks with an address plaque would be perfect. Thanks for the idea!
