Paid posting Tutorial

I was asked to write a post on how to do paid posting. I am not an expert, and I still have some problems here and there, like forgetting to have regular posts between my paid posts, which causes a post to be rejected. Bummer. I have yet to find a site that matches bloggers and advertisers that has as many jobs as this company does.
Here are my "stats" if you want to call them that.
Have Been Paid: $541.33
Will Be Paid: $20.20
You can see I really am making money.
So, the first thing you have to do is sign up. It is very easy. You submit your blog for approval and wait, it is pretty quick, but you need to have been blogging for at least 3 months, and be a regular poster. As long as you are "normal" blogger, you should be approved.
The hardest part comes after your blog is approved. You have to get the code and install it in your blog. It took me a bit, and I had to have help from a friend. It will look something like this < type="text/javascript" src="">
You then need to go into your template and got to "Edit HTML" to mess with things you shouldn't. Be sure to cut and paste your html into a Word Doc, just in case. Then find the part the says /body and install the code right above it. I did a Ctrl F and searched for /body, that was the easiest way for me to find it. Hit save and you are good to go. Check back with PPP and see if you have the green thumbs up in the "My Blogs" tab.
It could take up to two days for them to check, but it happened right away for me.
Now you are ready for posting! When you log in to PPP there are file tabs along the top of the screen. Click on Open Opportunities and see what is available. Whatever is not red or gray is available to you. Gray means you are qualified, but the posts are all claimed. Pick something you could write about and click on the opportunity title and read more about it, if it is something you want to do, then you click "Reserve Opportunity."
Leave the window open while you blog about the opportunity. Get all your links in place and write your post. Don't forget to disclose that it is a paid post. If they say not to disclose it in the post, make sure you have something on your blog that says you do sponsored posts, or put in a "review this blog" button from PPP. (in the tools tab)
When you are done and publish your post, you get the direct link to the post and put it in the page that the opportunity is on, add the title and check the box saying you know the rules and enter. If something isn't right with the links it will give you the opportunity to fix it then. Otherwise it will accept it. Then you wait for 30 days, and if in that time the post is not rejected you will be paid through paypal.
You can write up to 3 posts a day, but you must have at least one regular post with 3-5 sentences in it between posts. And linking to other blogs for contests are apparently sponsored, even though you are not getting paid. (lesson learned)
One of the things that I hate, and have quit reading a blog over, is when people just write whatever to get the post up. Try to love what you are advertising, relate it to your blog, to your life, be funny, whatever. Stuff like "Oh, if anyone you know is a drunk, this would be a great place to get detoxed, but I don't know anyone." That is just dumb. I can read past paid posting, I understand doing it, its fun, and comes in handy, and shuts the spouse up about spending so much time on the blog. I'm making money............ LOL
If you have any other questions, ask away and I will keep adding to this post. Feel free to sign up on this post and I do get a referral fee, and I am glad to help you get started and spend time helping you for that money.

I was NOT paid for this post, I am doing this so others can learn how to do it.

Great tutorial! I love doing PPP. How did you get this Opp?? Dang it! I didn't get to do a PPP for over a week b/c I was without computer and so I was ticked that I will have a week in a few weeks that I don't get paid. But, today Hubby and I made up for it posting like crazy on our blogs. We did several $20 posts. :-)
