Our 7 Qtpies

Voting day

Our town is trying to get some referendums passed, and today is voting day. I am so tired of having my taxes raised, and I am not seeing any benefits to the schools. Where are they putting the money they took from us two years ago? A few years ago they wanted 4 million dollars for a new pool across town because it was better than spending 1 million to fix the pool we have, besides, we have to bus the north kids to the pool a couple of times a year, wouldn't it be better to have a pool over here?
Now what they weren't saying, besides the fact that they thought we were dumb enough to believe that 4 million dollars on a new pool was cheaper than 1 million to fix the one we have, was that the high school uses the pool DAILY, and they would then ask for more money to fix that one anyway. It has to be working, the high school is very competitive in swimming.
Now they are trying to pass the same referendum we turned down. They even tried forcing it on us one time by stopping the bus system for our kids. Until 3 kids got hit crossing the major highway to get across town. I was scared my kids would get hit, so I took them out and home schooled them. How'd that do you for money? You lost more than it cost to bus my kids, that's for sure!

OK, then, I'm off to vote No, No, No.

2 people think my kids are qtpies:

This happens everywhere I've ever lived. The school board types freak out when these things get voted down and try to sneak things in in other way. Scumbags.

They're like redneck Congressmen and Senators.

THEY know what's best for your kids and HOW DARE you vote down the new tax, millage, or whatever tax they try.

They try that stuff down here in Florida, and the schools here are WAY better than the rotten junk I went to in Louisiana overall. Nothing is ever enough for them.

I voted NO and NO, too! Why do they keep squeezing our wallets, and then build these huge fancy school? MOney for this, money for that...oh wait, we need more money now...

I love the advertisements about voting...

Vote yes for our kids..
like if you vote no you are against the kids or something.
