Our 7 Qtpies

The eyes have been checked

I have felt like I am going blind lately. All of a sudden I couldn't see the TV or read those HUGE signs in the aisles of the grocery store that say whats down there.
Donnie got fed up and made an appointment for me and went with me, well, he got his eyes checked, too.
I was determined I was going to get my eyes checked correctly, as I have never been able to see well even with glasses. Turns out that my eyes are 10 over 400!! I thought that meant I am pretty much blind, but he said that I am not even close to legally blind.
I requested that I get in early and they said to show up 15 minutes early, because I needed to get back to our town and bring my mother-in-law to the doctor. By 10 to 10 I hadn't been seen yet. I was getting aggravated! I went to the desk and told them I was leaving at 10:30 no matter where we were in the process because my appointment was for 9:30, and then I was told I could come at 9:15.
The doctor did finally get in there and got me out at 10:20. Whew! But I apparently gave him a workout. He was asking me the typical questions "Which is clearer, 1 or 2?" and I asked him what he meant by clearer, clarity or ability to read the letters? Because one was clear but the letters were blurry, the other was a fuzzy haze but I could read the letters. You know what he said? "You are making this more complicated than it is, just which is more clear?" He didn't care if I could read it or not? I don't get that. But, in the end, it looked like I would be able to see pretty good.
When Donnie and I looked for glasses I was expecting a hassle. We have great coverage, so I have a good amount to choose from, but I can't SEE what I look like. That is why Donnie came with me.
So we head over to look and the lady pulls out these trendy glasses and I'm like "I am not trendy or funky, I just want to not look like a geek." I reached over and said "These are cute." I put them on and Donnie and her both liked them. Wallah! I got my glasses on the very first pair! I really did not try on any other pair.

I got Joyce to the doctor, and I am so glad she went. She was so sick and I was really worried about her. Her spunk was gone. She was walking really, really slowly, and not wanting to venture out. But about an hour after she took her medicines she called me and was saying really strange things like "I like Prednizone! Did I tell you that I like Prednizone? I've had it before and it is great! I love Prednizone!" LOL She is NOT a perky person. I said "You are like a Prednizone cheerleader!" It was so funny, and I am so glad that she is getting such fast results. Not to mention that she got the cutest doctor in our town. But she doesn't care about that, she says. Still, she lucked out. I've thought of switching from my doctor, whom I love, because this guy is kind, caring, smart, AND cute. Tell me that guy isn't easy on the eyes. He is as nice as he looks, too.

The doctor has to be, what, 23? He is cute, but maybe he ought to finish college before actually going into practice . . . : )

You are too funny! And, beautiful kids...I guess you must have a great sense of humor to raise 7 kids and keep your sanity. I'm struggling with one at this point!!

Oh my goodness he looks young! No way he's old enough to be a doctor. I'd stick with your old doctor and just put a picture of this one up in your house somewhere. =)

Glad you got your eyes checked. Could you talk to my Mom now? Someone needs to drag that woman to an optometrist. Oh, and my in-laws too.
