Our 7 Qtpies

January 09, 2008

I interupt this Wordless Wednesday for this announcement:

There are some crazy, crazy people in this world!
Go watch this now. Before you read my post, you need the shock value.
I'll wait.

Umm, really, what do you think?
Whacko? Sicko? Fun-loving? Attention lovers?

For the record, I think the dolls are about the cutest things ever, and I would love to have one. For a decoration. Not to carry around with me pretending I have a baby.

9 people think my kids are qtpies:

It's just so sad, and sick. So, yeah, they're cute, and it makes you really want to hold them, but, really...to treat them like it's real? For attention? To asuage some of the pain of losing another child? Not healthy. Not healthy at all.

I find it really sad too... these poor women! I agree that it doesn't seem to healthy to me.

The link you provided is only the tip of the iceberg. If you want the whole story, you need to go to You Tube. I can't believe I am posting this, but... http://youtube.com/watch?v=qij9J7M3k2c

There are 5 parts (approx. 10 mins. each). Just keep changing the number P2, P3, etc.

You have GOT to be kidding me. This is insane!

Wow, I watched all 5 parts on youtube.
I would love to have a doll, but I would not pretend I had a baby. Or call it a baby, it is a doll.
I loved the last part, where the grandmother got her grandson on the camera over the internet and showed him the doll made after him. He called her crazy, basically. It doesn't take more than a child to figure that out.

Hummm, I don't know what to think. :)

Wow, I have to say I find it a little disturbing. However maybe it would help some women who have lost a baby to deal with the grief until reality set in and they can adjust. It would be better than going out and stealing another mothers child.

I had not looked at it like that. Great point. But still for someone who is messed up.
I think they are cute, but its the taking them out with you and taking family pictures with the doll like it is a baby that freaks me out.
