Or so Drew and Kaytlin tell me.
Last night, Drew, Hope-Anne, Drew's friend Joey and I went to Walmart. While there Drew got a text and he makes a big noise and hands the phone to Joey. Drew is beet red, so I know I want to see that text. And since the phone is in our family plan, I am most certainly going to read it.
It was a text from Sarah, whom I am very peeved at for her over abundance of attention to Drew. (we don't allow dating, and Drew won't anyway because he is going in the military this summer)
I wanted to take the phone but Joey wouldn't give it to me. Hello, who drove you here? So he asks Drew if it is OK to give the phone to me. Drew says "You don't have a choice."
It said:
"I saw your senior pics and you are lickalicious (aka hot)"
Oh, mama! I was steamed!
"See! She is too after you!"
Joey says "Um, yeah! Ya think!"
Oh, my word! That started a long, long conversation. But ended in Joey and I convincing Drew to text her back about her inappropriateness.
"When you call me so often my mom makes my life difficult, but when you text stuff like that you put your own life in danger."
That's more like it! Nip it in the bud!

6 people think my kids are qtpies:
Good for your boys! Great comeback. I'm so impressed.
Oh my word!! lickalicious?! I would have been down right livid.
Great return text! Maybe she will get the hint.
I loved your response....I would have been pretty mad too..Good for you for not letting your kids date...We have always had the same rule for our girls...
LOL! I like the way you deal with your kids.
That's some real nerve! (on the girl's part, I mean) I remember the phrase "bootilicious" from when I was in college, but lickalicious is new one for me. I wonder what it'll be by the time my kids are receiving texts from their obsessive fans.
"...life in danger." Way too funny and real! Loved it!
