One of the things I worry about in raising my children is raising strong souls. I want my kids to know that they can do what they put their minds to.
Sometimes when I make my choices in life I have had to really concider what it is going to tell my daughters. Am I teaching them that it is OK to be abused or walked on? Am I teaching them that they are less than a person? Am I teaching them that it isn't OK to work?
I want them to be strong and not stepped on. However, I do want them to be women of faith, which seems meek to some, but really, they need strength to walk the walk.
There is a site out there that teaches girls to be strong and that anything is possible. It is called Girl Mogul.
It is about the power of dreams and encouraging girls to follow their dreams.
Follow the story of four girls; Lily, Daisy, Poppy and rose.
For those of you who are so anti-princess for your girls, they sell some fun shirts. One that I would like to get says "computer geek." That's me. I admit it.
I also like the Mom Mogul page, it has some really helpful links, like Mommy Track'd, the working mother's guide to managed chaos.
