Updated** The winner is number 7, Mamacita! Congrats! I am contacting you. If I don't hear back in 3 days I will draw again.
I am so glad you stopped by on your massive giveaway entering! There is a requirement to this giveaway, but it is easy, trust me!
Dr. Mom made this incredible ottoscope that is so durable and so easy to use for us parents! It is metal, so it is heavy duty and not going to break in a couple of months! Besides it is guaranteed. It also sports an LED light that eliminates the yellowy light in normal home ottoscopes AND lasts and lasts and lasts! (again, guaranteed!)
My ottoscope has helped us so much in the couple of months we've had it. I caught an ear infection before it burst! I have found wax problems that cause hearing loss. (no more excuses that the kids didn't hear me! I know their ears are clean now!) My husband is dealing with a chronic hearing loss due to wax buildup and fluid build up and I am able to monitor things at home.
I really can't rave enough about this ottoscope. You would not believe the cost to have this wonderful tool. Wouldn't you pay the price of a co-pay or two to know whether that crankiness was an ear infection or not BEFORE you go in? $20 and you will know.
I did a review and giveaway recently and the response was so wonderful that Dr. Mom sent me some more to give away! I want to give them the same response as last time, lots and lots of visits to their site!
To enter:
1. Go visit Dr. Mom and tell me something that surprised you or that you didn't know, or that grossed you out. Something that tells me you were there.
2. Leave your comment with a way to contact you.
3. U.S. and military only, please. I would love to ship all over, but can't right now.
4. Giveaway ends April 25th and I will announce the winner sometime over the weekend when my family forgives me for ignoring them for the Bloggy Giveaways all week.
Happy entering and good luck, everyone!

I can't believe you are giving this away! I was just at their site last week! My daughters ear was hurting and I borrowed my neighghbors Dr. Mom Otoscope and loved it!
I hope I win!
Oh I loved that the light was so bright and that they had different size speculas!
Oh, my word, those pictures...I'm glad the pictures are there, so I know what to look for!!
My husband has terrible problems with wax, and one of my daughters just failed a hearing test at school....have to get that checked into soon...
I never knew what an ear tube looked like. I have been wanting a Dr. Mom Otoscope for some time.
I've been to the site before and just love the thought of being able to peek in the ears to see if there is a beggining of an ear infection in order to catch it early.
I didn't know that you can detect an ear infection at home with one of these tools. Cool!
Okay, the pictures are pretty gross! But I found lots of interesting information on the site. My husband is actually the one who is prone to ear infections - he had tubes a few times as a kid - and I found the information fascinating. Thanks for a great giveaway!
Wow! We homeschool,so I see some hands-on ear lessons in the making! :) thanks!
Okay, pictures like that make me queezy and weak in the knees. I just couldn't go "deep" into the ear wax and ear infection photos. The small images were enough to do me in. How about if I mention that only two out of forty doctors do NOT prefer the Pro LED otoscope over their wall mount versions? I was there. I saw things I didn't need to see. I agree that it is a terrific tool that I (hopefully) will never have to use. Maybe I could have my husband use it instead. He is much better with that kind of thing than I am. I would love to be entered in your giveaway.

I love the pictures! A picture truly is worth a thousand words!!
Those ear wax pixs are nasty! I have always wanted one of these. I could have really used it when my older son was a baby. He got infections all the time. Now, I need it for my dd. She has very small ear canals that are hard to keep clean.
I found out that it includes an instruction sheet with pictures, 2 AAA Batteries, and 3 Reusable Specula. Pictures are definitely a good thing! :)
The pics are gross! This would be great my baby has had 4 ear infections in 3 months. I never knew you could buy one of these. This would help so much!
mcginnisfamily5(at)gmail(dot)com
That was wild! An ear tube!
This would be a terrific addition to our home medicine kit. It is great that they provide pictures to help you diagnose the problems more easily. A wonderful idea all around.
owatzATtelusDOTnet
I didn't know that putting warm olive, vegetable or garlic oil in the ear would ease ear pain...interesting!
I would love the otoscope. Would be real nice to know if something was really wrong before I pack all four of the little buggers up and make the 40 minute drive to the doctor's office, wouldn't it?!
Thanks for offering this.
Wow, I only thought doctors could use these. I'd love to win one! :)
I SO TOTALLY WANT THIS! If I don't win, I am buying one. I did NOT know parents could have their own instruments like these. I can't tell you how many times I've longed for one instead of shelling out twenty MORE dollars and TONS of time at the doctor's office.
I went to her site and found all the pictures made me a bit queasy, but that's okay. I did discover she is a Texas mama like me. See? I really, really went over there!
I desperately want one of these!! Connor has awful earwax problems.. and I am totally going to try that olive oil technique. The grossest thing on the site though whats the picture o the earwax that looked like a big hairball in the ear.. EWW
I wanted to invite you to Connor's First Birthday Party at Seven Dogs and a Baby as well. Its a huge blog party and we are the ones giving away the gifts! I have over $530 worth in prizes to give away!

(you will love it)
I liked the idea of olive oil for ear wax. My one daughter seems to always have buildup and we try to look in her ear with her side lamp which gets very awkward. I would love to be considered for this tool. I bought a cheapo one at the drugstore and it stopped working pretty quickly.
Thanks & love your site! It has so much info about everything!
Those wax pictures were gross!! But I learned one way to help prevent an ear infection is to feed baby in an upright position.
Thanks for the giveaway! Its so cool...I didn't know to use olive oil or garlic oil for a ear infection and the pictures were interesting....
Enter me please.
palmersf(at)bellsouth(dot)net
Wow! The detail of the pictures! The tip about Olive oil was very interesting.
I'm glad it comes with an instruction sheet. That would really be helpful!
wow! those ear wax pictures...yuck!
That second picture of ear wax...looks like a small rodent DIED in there! Ugh! Conveniently enough, my husband thinks he just discovered why he can hardly hear me out of one ear. :)
Believe it or not, my little man was just diagnosed with his first ear infection yesterday! Those pictures were yucky...And the info that pulling at the ears is not always an indicator was really interesting! Thanks for such a great giveaway...This could really come in handy, although hopefully not!LOL!
sblilly14(@)yahoo(.)com
Okay, those pictures were just yucky. They looked kind of like the inside of a clam or oyster.
If I win this, all I'll need is a stethoscope to really be a Doctor. Who needs 12+ years of schooling? Not me, lol.
Thank you for the chance to win. The ear wax pictures...just nasty. I can't stand the thought of that stuff jammed down in the ears of my family.
mindysaid (at) gmail (dot) com
we have tried those over the counter ear wax remover, we will have to try the olive oil. My daughter get ear aches but never says anything until they are really bad
Ok, the wax pictures grossed me out. YUCK!!! I also found the info on the tubes interesting since my kiddo has tubes.
We'd love to win!
I had no idea that ear wax actually serves a purpose! Enter me in this one, please! (But if I don't win, I think I'll talk hubby into buying one of these for this Dr. Mom!)
ACK!!! LOL The perforated ear drum was grooosss, lol! And that happened to my little girl. My youngest two also had ear tubes so it was kind of neat (but still gross!) to see the ear tube pic.
This is such a creative giveaway. Thanks!
My daughter is on her 4th set of ear tubes and I didn't know what they looked like. I knew they could fall out on their own (obviously since she's had 4 sets!) but I didn't know they could get plugged w/wax...would love to win one of these!
I've been looking to get this for a while now (with 3 kids this would be great) and waaw here it is.. the giveaway. What really grossed me out were the pictures of the ear wax!! Thanks for the giveaway.
ann dot guns at mac dot com
Wow--I was just TODAY thinking that it would be helpful to have one of these to be able to tell if there is wax built up in one of my ears. From the website, I learned that ear tube surgeries are the most common childhood surgeries performed with anesthesia. Interesting1
The pictures were a bit gross but they really would be helpful to know what you are looking at. I always wondered what tubes were and what they looked like and how they worked. My brother had them when we were little and I didn't really understand them. I just knew he could hear a lot better after them.
OH MY GOSH....We totally need this! More than any other giveaway....
Love, ,love, love...
Oh boy!!! I would love to win! Pick me, pick me, pick me...

I need one of these right now! One thing I did learn is that my babies probably don't have earaches. They've been teething and the younger twin has been playing with his ear so I was afraid he had an infection but it looks like from what she said it may just be from the teething. I was going to buy one of the cheaper ones from a magazine but this is a good one. HOpe I win but I might buy one even if I don't. Great giveaway!
This is a great product and I have two boys and more in the future I'm sure. Count me in!
emily_albrecht at hotmail dot com
Ewww, the ear wax pictures were really gross, but I'll take an otoscope anyway! (Especially since my little boy is a big ear wax producer - I'd like to see what is going on it there!!) :)

I didn't even know there WAS something like this for parents! How's that for starters? The second thing was that I read you aren't supposed to use cotton buds (q-tips) to clean out your kids ears because that can work like a ram rod and get it stuck in there.
I had no idea!! I've been doing that since my kids were born!
I have 5 kids so winning this would be fantastic for me.. especially since a few weeks ago when everyone had colds and were running fevers I brought them in to be checked. That's right. 5 x $20 co-pays = OUCH!
I was grossed out by the pictures of earwax. I didn't realize ear wax could be such a big problem.
I NEED one of these. Tessa had ear tubes placed in February and Emma is currently on her second round of antibiotics this month for an ear infection... if it doesn't work she'll be getting ear tubes too.
Her doctor said, "She should be better in 3-15 days. If she is not, bring her in."
Um, HELLO DOCTOR, I thought she was better after the first round of antiobiotics... now I'm trying to figure out how to tell for sure if she is better.
So, my "Ear Achy Twins" could really use this.
Thanks for entering me in the contest. :)
Why was I drawn straight to Ear Wax Info? I was simultaneously repulsed and fascinated. This is one rad give. thanks!
" If you keep getting ears blocked with wax, it may be worth using a couple of drops of olive oil into each ear once or twice a week."
Extra light virgin olive oil? right?
So EVOO has uses I did not know about.
What a great tool to figure out if it is an ear infection / wax build-up / or ?fluid building up from underneath - yeak.
Thank you for offering such a great tool. I had no idea it was out there for such a reasonable cost.
Thank you.
ok it is 8am and I am looking at very detailed photos of ear wax...ok gross..cool tool can save you time going to the dr..if they don't have an infection and can help you quickly get one under control.
3beez at bellsouth dot net
The picture of the tube was interesting. I had seen the drawings in the dr. office after my son got tubes, but this picture made a whole lot more sense.
I didn't know that eating more raw fruits and vegetables can help prevent ear infections!
Reading the comments were cool. It was nice to know that her pediatrician was receptive to it!
We ear candle here at my house (the most amazing thing IN the world for cleaning ears), and it would be nice to see inside and make sure things are cleaned out and safe!
Daughter is going through a cold right now and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't turn into an ear infection (like usual). We could definitely use one of these!
My son had to have tubes inserted at 10 months, this would have been helpful when he was having all those ear infections...we're having #3 in a few weeks though so it would be great to have one of these around!
And those photos of the ear wax? I think I threw up a little in my mouth. Bleach.
I didn't even know what the inside of an ear looked like. I'm glad they had photos to see the differences! My mother's eardrum just burst from an ear infection and she may be dealing with hearing loss from it. I think it's made me more nervous about ear infections. This would come in handy!
My daughter has a problem with ear wax build up, so this would be great. Wish I knew about it when my oldest was younger, she needed tubes & it would have been nice to know what was going on. The website has an amazing amount of facts. I knew a lot of it, but didn't know that it was from narrow canals, or that is at an angle which slows the natural passage of the wax, that causes build ups.
I didn't know that there are cold symptoms before an infection. My daughter's ears drain sometimes but her doctor said it's pretty normal.
The pictures over there are great! Amazing to see inside isn't it. I'd love to have one of these.
I read the 8 symptoms of an ear infection and I appreciated the information on the difference between the infection and teething in babies. I have a 7 month old getting her upper teeth and she's been a little fussy, no cold signs, just teething. It's nice to differentiate them. The otoscope would be helpful too. My husband would love if I won this because he's the one who usually cleans out the children's ears using peroxide. bigfamily8 (at) yahoo (dot) com
My son had 8 ear infections in 8 months-this would have been so helpful. He has tubes now, thank goodness so no more infections!! I was amazed to see what an acute infection actually looks like-I always wondered!! Thanks for this giveaway!!
It was interesting to see what an ear infection and ear tubes looks like. My son has tubes and still gets infections, I would LOVE to win this!
Okay, the pictures of the ear wax were really nasty looking, but one of my boys produces that type of nasty looking earwax, so it wasn't unknown to me. Glad to know it is somewhat normal and what can be done to help it!
This is a great give away! I have wanted something like this for YEARS! Would have saved so many trips to the doctor (and co-pays, ahem!).
Last time you did a giveaway of this product I book marked it. Ear infections, wax, and fluid in the ears have made me look into buying this. I wold love to win one since we are constantly going to the doctor for our boys. Something that surprised me is how distinct an actual infected ear looks in the photos included on the website.
Thanks for the great giveaway.
I need this. I have a son with tubes from chronic ear infections and a husband with horrible wax buildup problems. This would be perfect to take a look. Although after looking at the pictures on Dr. Mom's page I may not want to know what is lurking in there. I didn't know that earwax was secreted from little glands in your ear. I guess I never really thought about where it came from.
That middle ear wax picture is so gross - it looks like an animal. I'd love to have an otoscope, as we take care of nearly all health care ourselves, here at home.
i didn't know ear wax can cause tinnitus! i've always had wax problems and occasionally had ringing in my ears, now i wonder if they're related
I'd love to have this for when we move back overseas. We live 1 hour and 1 border crossing away from a hospital. So it is hard to judge when my kids REALLY need to go to the doctor or when we can just "ride it out".
I like the olive oil in the ears tip from Dr. Mom. For some reason my oldest son has an amazing amount of ear wax.
I really need one of these. My daughter gets earinfections a lot and we are putting in tubes next week. But this would be great so I can see one coming before it is really hurting her. Thanks. katie_mmartin (at)yahoo [dot] com
Wow--I did not know that children younger than one can't localize pain--that actually explains a lot. And teething vs ear infection vs shunt malfunction--my younger son has spina bifida and hydrocephalus--we spend a good deal of time wondering about a doctor's appointment. Anyway, this would be very helpful!
My email addy is in my blogger profile, just in case I win!
I never knew that an unwillingness to lie flat was a symptom of an ear infection. I would love to win this.

This would come in handy with my family of eight. :) I learned that it was chosen by the Medical College of Kazakhstan to be used in it's medical school training program. :)
adashofsassitude(at)gmail.com
I learned what a perforated ear drum looks like. Ow! This would be so helpful for my family.
I didn't realize wax could be so dark colored and gross! Great giveaway! Count me in. bebemiqui82(at)yahoo(dot)com
I was shocked that something could be had to check your kids ears and for such a reasonable price. My poor little girl had a buildup so bad that a specialist was the first to notice.
It was horrible!
I didn't know there was such a thing. I want to be Dr. Mom!
I didn't know that EAR WAX could cause ringing in the ears. I was really sick a month ago with this as a symptom and when I looked up the causes that wasn't mentioned at all!
hello DOT scarlett AT gmail DOT com
Wow, what a wonderful thing for a Mom to have on hand at home!
digicat@sbcglobal.net
This would be a wonderful tool to have for my son who has chronic ear infections. I love that the site has pictures that help in diagnosis. Thanks for the giveaway! :)
zarache@aol.com
EWWWWW! The earwax pics totally grossed me out. Kind of looked like my son's belly button stub before it fell off! I already knew this, but it was a great reminder- never stick anything larger than an elbow in your ear... Q-tips are a total sham...
Yuck! If I won I'd have to remember not to check their ears when I'm eating breakfast!!
I'd love this for my kids! What a fantastic product. I love the led light source. I've looked though the other scopes, and I think it is a fantastic idea to have a whiter light. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
I had no idea that antibiotics were not totally necessary for an ear infection. Great product. Both my husband and children all suffer from ear infections quiet frequently. THis will help catch them before they get bad!
I really shouldn't have looked at all those ear wax photos. uck! But i didn't know that you could treat an ear infection with oil. who knew
The pictures were pretty disgusting, so of course I clicked on them first. I was a little disappointed that I could put drops in the ear but then still had to see someone to wash the wax out-- I was looking for a quick at-home remedy.
AND, I have to tell you. I was actually getting fed up with the carnival because I'm so tired of hearing "U.S. only" --I'm U.S., but I am military-- so I pretty much think your give away rocks whether or not I win! Thank you.
I had never seen an "ear tube" before (the little green plastic piece in the ear) and am curious now. I'm sure my nurse husband would love to have this on hand for our future children and anyone else who comes to him with an ear complaint!
I was surprised to learn that when a baby pulls at their ears it more likely a sign of teething than of an ear infection. I think this otoscope would be a very handy thing to have in our home. Thanks to you and to Dr. Mom for another chance at winning one. beccachristensen at hotmail dot com
What a wonderful giveaway! This would be so helpful. One of my sons has had tubes once and will be getting them again soon because they came out too soon. Something I didn't know is one of the signs of an ear infection: unwillingness to lie flat. Good to know. Thanks!!
Wow, we have been struggling with ear infection in our home for a while now. I just told a friend the other day I wished there was a way for me to know at home whether or not an ear was infected before I took my kids to the soupy petri dish of a doctor's waiting room! lol Thanks for the giveaway!
Dr. Mom fact: a symptom of ear infection is unwillingness to lie flat - never thought of that before!
mamaredhead (at gmail.com)
I didn't know that putting warm olive, vegetable or garlic oil in the ear would ease ear pain. Very interesting.
I learned that an ear infection is almost always accompanied by a cold...useful info!
Ewww, the pictures of ear wax were disgusting. The ear tube pictures were interesting, I had no idea what those looked like.
Thanks for entering me!
I didn;t know ear wax was black
Wow that's a good price. I was expecting over $100. By the way, it is oToscope (one T). Sorry, it's a pet peeve, please don't be mad at me. *hug* Thanks for entering me!
Wow the ear wax was gross. But my husband has such a problem with it. He need the help. Thanks, Kathy
The pics are so NASTY! But very helpful, I'd love to win so that I could quit wasting the co-pays. I am such a bad judge of an ear infection vs. cranky!
Oh those ear wax pictures were DISGUSTING!!! Yuck! This is a cool giveaway. Thanks for sharing.
If you get a chance, stop by my blog and join in the fun with my giveaway - http://threepsinapod.blogspot.com/2008/04/bloggy-giveaway-time.html#links

those pics made me sick to my stomach. i know to feed my son upright now.
bwalleshauser AT yahoo DOT com
I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while now. The website was so informative. While the pictures were gross, it was good to finally know what the heck the doctor was looking for when checking for an ear infection. I also liked the part that talked about the difference between teething and an ear infection. Thanks for the chance to win!
I did not know that ear drainage was nothing to worry about! It's never happened to my kids, but still good to know.
nottheplan (at) gmail (dot) com
I knew that ear wax could cause hearing loss, but I didn't know it could also cause pain.
Thanks! This would be AWESOME. ( meg.wilson@gmail.com )
Wow. Those ear wax pictures are grooooosssss! Thanks for the giveaway!
Another great gift to give away to my nursing home residents that I read to for Mother's Day.

That was fascinating! Impressive that these are being used around the world as far as Kazakhstan! And this sounds like a very easy to use product--definitely a good thing for me ;)

This is such a cool instrument! I need one.
I work in early intervention, and I have a lot of kids with ear infections that effect their hearing.
It never occurred to me that parents could use an otoscope at home. What a great thing!
Recently a dr told me I had excess wax buildup, so I checked out the page about that. Warning - gross photos! LOL
I had been wondering just what to do about the excess wax but according to the Dr Mom site I can use warm olive oil and a bulb syringe in the shower to try and remove the extra wax. So thank you Dr Mom for the tip!
And thank you for offering up such a great prize for the bloggy giveaway carnival.
I went to this site a long time ago, glad to find it again. I love the fact that it has pictures and not just a verbal discription *I'm a visual learner*. This could save co-pay at the doctors. I would love to win one of these!!! 5 kids times co-pay equals OUCH.
I LOVE this! What a great giveaway! I visited Dr. Mom and I have to say that the pics of the earwax was really .REALLY. gross. And I'm a nurse and rarely bothered by such things.
My 6yo dd often complains of ear pain and I never know until the doctor tells me whether it's excessive earwax or an actual infection. I had no idea I could have an otoscope thingy of my very own to figure it out for myself! And the pics at Dr. Mom's would certainly make it easy to figure out what's going on. Awesome! It'd save us time and money, for sure! Thanks for the opportunity to win.
Those pictures are gross!!! We could really use this because my 3rd kid just got off his 3rd antibiotic in the last 2 months for an ear infection.
I would love to win this! I really like that it includes the pictures so that you don't have to "guess" what is going on in there! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
I found out on her site that she was an ER doctor for 20 years. Need this for my grandson - tubes and lots of ear infections.
Sheila
chiliburger@icehouse.net
My granny, mom, and I in turn to my kids, have always said the same thing...'Don't stick anything in your ear smaller than your elbow".'Course that did'nt stop my son from stuffing beads in there! What a handy gadget! $20.00! What a steal! Thanks for the visit.
I never knew that ear wax could contribute to tinnitus, (I suffer from that.)I don't think that I have an ear wax build up. Maybe I do.
I'd love to have this for my home. I love all things medical, and will have 2 kids in school next year. So they are more likely to be bringing home twice the germs. It always seems that when 1 of my daughters had an ear infection the other did too. If I could nip it in the bud would save us both a lot of discomfort. I didn't even know that non medical people could purchase items like this.
This looks like a very neat giveaway. Thanks.
While somewhat familiar with tubes, I didn't know what they looked like in the ear. So I found that picture pretty cool especially since I had tubes as a kid.
radiationchic (at) hotmail (dot) com
Omgoodness. The ear wax pictures were gross. lol One of them looked like a bug in their ear. Thanks for the giveaway!
I didn't know that ear tubes often get plugged with wax or fall out prematurely setting you child up for another painful ear infection.
Wow, the pictures were pretty gross. If you look at them for to long, it starts to look like something is moving. Yuck, but what a great product. Every mom could use this.
Feeding baby in an upright position definitely helps from getting ear infections.
I have had ear infections since I was itty bitty and I'm in my 30s now. I've had numerous surgeries. Right now my hearing is ok and everything is in check, but I'm sure I'll have problems again soon.
This is a great tool to have and I hope I win it.
partymix25(at)hotmail(dot)com
I had no idea that ears could look so gross inside. Some of the pictures....yuck, especially the ear wax one.
hafner611 {AT} gmail {DOT} com
I really could use one of these! my daughter gets ear infections a lot :p
I learned from Dr. Mom that you can use body temperature olive oil to clean out ear wax! :D
anastasia_falling@yahoo.com
What a terrific giveaway...and with the great photos (albeit a little gross looking) it would be very easy to know what you are looking at/for when using the cool new Dr. Mom toy.
Ah, alll the trip to the Dr. that this little tool would save!!
Keep working ,great job!
