Our 7 Qtpies

July 01, 2008

Did I disappear again?

I am pretty busy, or should be, so I haven't been posting much. Drew's open house is this weekend and I have lots of cooking and cake making to do. But what I have really been doing is reading way too much.
I went to my brother's two boys' birthday on Sunday, which was nice and I will hopefully be posting a picture from there soon, but to go meant I had to miss my good friend Jeannie's 5oth birthday party. That was a bummer! Happy birthday, Jeannie!

Sam is finally really starting to talk, and it is so much fun! He just finally learned to say "Uh-Oh" the other day, and he also learned to say "Yuck." He also picked up a phrase or two that we must yell at him often "Don't do that!" "Knock it off!" "Stop doing that!"

In order to understand why we'd say those things so often I can take you on a little "tour" of our trip to my brother's house.

Noah turned 3 and got some great presents, lots of trucks and things. Sam wanted the truck, Noah wanted the truck, so they fought over it until I had to go and pry Sam off of it. Anything Noah touched, Sam wanted and tried to take. He broke the wheels off a trailer, upsetting Noah. He stole Noah's drink, so Christopher got him a new drink in a "blue" cup, and as soon as Noah turned his back, Sam took that one, too. And took great joy in it. Every scream Noah gave brought a twinkle of joy to Sam's eyes.
By the time we were leaving Noah was glaring at us, and starting grinning ear to ear when we were walking out the door.

Thanks, I did have a good birthday. I have some orange bowls and platters and a whole bunch of napkins, and some grad hat decorations that hang from the ceiling that you can have. If you want me to bring them over, let me know.

That is great that Sam is starting to talk more. I think it is so cute when little tots are talking!

He is a little stinker, huh? 100% toddler! :) ~lol
