Sometimes things are handed to you on a silver platter. That, my friends, is what happened tonight.
Kaytlin: Knock, Knock
Trinity: Who's there?
Kaytlin: Banana
Trinity: (crickets chirping)
That went on for some time before I decided to step in and "teach" Trinity how a knock-knock joke should go.
Mom: Trinity, Knock, knock
Trinity: Who's There?
Mom: BOOO!
Trinity: Hahahahahahahaha!
She thought that was hysterical.
I tried again. Same thing.
So tonight we tried again with Donnie's help.
We did some role playing and showed her that she needs to say "Boo who" and that is it funny, etc.
So she tries it.
Trinity: Knock, Knock.
Mom: Who's there?
Trinity: Boo who!! hahahahahaha
(repeat 50 times)
OK, then...
Mom: Knock, knock
Trinity: Who's there?
Mom: Olive
Trinity: (crickets chirping)
Trinity: Knock, knock
Mom: Who's there?
Trinity: Appleman! hahahahahaha
(repeat 50 times)
Apparently, knock knock jokes and 4 year olds have their own relationship.

That is okay...DJ will make up an answer that totally doesn't have anything to do with the answer he had given...

Me: Who's There?
DJ: Apple
Me: Apple Who?
DJ: Banana Head Boogie Man...
I don't get it either but I am made to laugh...We've tried to teach him too...Someday :)
