Our 7 Qtpies

Where would YOU draw the line?

Just this week my cousin Jessica became a hero to her son.

And a frog.

Little Andrew had caught a frog and put it in an aquarium with some bugs that he was keeping. The frog decided to have some lunch, of course. But his eyes were way bigger than his stomach.

The bug got caught in his throat and the frog was literally choking to death! Poor Andrew was beside himself and crying and begging his mom to help the frog.

Brave Jessica tried to pull the bug out of the frog's mouth with no luck. With Andrew getting more and more upset Jessica had to think quick. So she gave the frog the Heimlich maneuver. She pushed the bug out from behind, basically, by rubbing the frogs back upwards. She rescued the poor little frog!

But the bug, sadly, suffocated inside the frog. Jessica was unable to resuscitate the bug because it is too small for mouth to mouth.

I would have let both frog and bug die. What would you do?

HaHa. I probably would have tried to save the frog. When I was little I had a friend whose mom gave the hamster mouth to mouth with a straw...so sad...he didn't make it.

I would not have had either of them in the house but I guess I might have tried to save the frog...Maybe.
