Don't get me wrong, the weather is anything but sun shiney. It is gray and bleak and dreary. Sometimes rain, sometimes SNOW. Yucky. Depressing. Blah.
But in the last 24 hours I've had a couple of wonderful things happen!
The first was last night.
After an hour of nagging, whining, threatening to take over Donnie's computer.....
Donnie finally got my computer fixed! I am working on my very own computer! No more slow as molasses laptop.
No more borrowing Donnie's laptop that hates my blog.
I am on my own!
And that, my friends, makes the sun shine for me!
Then this morning I awoke to an email that made my day.
I spent an insane amount of time entering tons of giveaways recently and won nothing. Hope-Anne, however, won one of the Chocolate indulgence baskets that I tried to win. But this morning an email finally arrived. I had won something!
I won a super cute pie dish from The House of Christmas Present on The Lethally Blond Diary blog.
Isn't it cute?!
I hope it gets here before Thanksgiving. That will be perfect for serving pie after dinner. Well, of course not one of MY pies, I don't bake pie.
I am going to try to make a pie this weekend to get rid of the last of the apples I picked, but I don't expect much.
Oh, I made BUTTER this week! I did! I buy my milk raw from the farm. Mmmm! Cody calls it crack. He can't get enough of it. The cream naturally separates and I went ahead and made butter. Now I have butter milk and don't know what to do with that, but hey, I made butter!
What can I use butter milk for?

Congratulations! I wondered if you guys had won anything else since I last talked to you.
Also, congratulations on getting your computer back. No wonder you are blogging so much lately. I can hardly keep up with all of your writings.
As for the buttermilk...make buttermilk pancakes or biscuits. Mmmmm! I made buttermilk pancakes this morning for breakfast and they were great.
M.
Where do you get your milk? Sounds fun to have all that cream!! Glad you have your computer working. :-)
Hey Daisy, she gets her milk right down the road from my house. Lisa, I'm pretty sure I have a recipe for chocolate cake that requires buttermilk. I'll try to remember you next time I come across a recipe that calls for buttermilk.
Yeah! Congrats on winning something from the bloggy giveaways~ you deserve that win! IT is a great plate, too!
I think your dessert meal is awesome, and I hope you win!
Cool that you got your puter back! :) Was the butter yummy??
