Our 7 Qtpies

November 12, 2008

Not again!

Last night I was on the couch reading while letting Sam and Trinity watch cartoons late at night. (don't judge me, it isn't nice) Donnie's phone started ringing and Trinity brought it to me.
I didn't answer because it was after 11 and it had no number and no name. Then a voice mail message popped up. Hmm, I guess Donnie will find out tomorrow who it was.
This morning Donnie grabbed his phone and I told him about the late night phone call. He checked the message and got a very concerned look on his face. What?
That was the sheriff. Again. Someone dialed 911 on the cell phone AGAIN.

Twice now Sam has called 911 on our phone. Did you know that you can call 911 on a cell phone that doesn't have service and one that has the keys locked? What does key lock protect you from if the only number sequence it recognizes is 911??
After Sam called and talked to the 911 people both times I got a call from the sheriff asking if everything is OK.

Now, I don't know if it was Trinity or Sam. Trinity had been asking me if she could play games on Dad's phone, but I wouldn't let her because I don't know how to run a cell phone.
It could have been either of them. After all, I wasn't watching them, I was reading. But I am pretty sure it was her this time. She was probably trying to find the games and hit the right sequence. Besides that, the Justice League was on, so Sam was probably not playing with the phone.

For a little while this morning I thought I had done it. Because after I got the phone in my hands I sat there pushing buttons absent mindedly (apparently that is a made up word, it isn't in the spell check) while reading. I didn't think very hard about it this morning, I hadn't had my coffee yet. But I didn't have the phone until after it rang. So I am now cleared of my own charges. Whew!

Ok, I'm off to go take some pictures and keep doing my rearranging and cleaning spree! I'll post pics of my new living room arrangement. It feels so "normal" in there now. I just can't believe it!
And I will even try to post a video of what my evening looked like last night. Fun stuff.
