Our 7 Qtpies

December 16, 2008

Are you hungry?

Thank goodness I am using Sensa to keep my appetite under control because if I didn't have control while eating the new recipe I tried out, I would be in serious trouble!

Country Bob's All Purpose sauce is pretty good as a sauce. I tried it over little smokies in the crock pot this past weekend. Normally I don't like the smokies at all, but I actually took seconds with the Country Bob's sauce on them. Everyone at the party liked them, too.

I then tried a recipe from Country Bob's. It is the Greatest Hamburgers recipe, but with my little twists to it.

3lbs ground beef
1 pkg Lipton Onion Soup mix
3/4 cup Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce
a few shakes of season salt

In the future I will be adding egg to help it hold together better, but it did work fine without egg. I thought it was the juiciest burger I have ever had. I actually put NO condiments on it at all. Their recipe calls for topping with the All Purpose sauce, too, but it did not need it. Donnie thought the flavor was great but that it was grainy, so I would suggest letting the mixture set for awhile so the onion soup mix can hydrate longer. I did not think it was grainy. In fact, I have been eating burgers for left overs. I can't stand left overs. I love these burgers! (not even kidding that it is a good thing I can't physically eat more than one right now)

Country Bob's is only available in Walmarts around here, but since they are in all the towns around here, I won't have any problems keeping it in stock.

Country Bob's is a Christian company that gives full credit to their CEO, Jesus Christ. I love that about their company. It is on the website and on the bottles.

Are you hungry? Country Bob would like to help you satisfy your cravings for some yummy new recipes. They are giving TWO lucky readers of my blog two bottles of All Purpose Sauce EACH.

Rules:

1. Head over to Country Bob's and find the recipe you would like to try and leave it in a comment.
2. You must be a US resident.
3. Don't drool on the keyboard.

Giveaway ends December 24. What a nice Christmas present for two somebodies!

I'll have to try the burger recipe, it sounds really good. Or the meatloaf, or...the smokies were really good too. And you don't need to count me, either.
