Baby Einstein

Years ago we discovered that staying busy during the holiday season takes a toll on young children. They don't understand what all the fuss and running and bright lights are all about. Kaytlin got very stressed when she was a baby, and ended up in the hospital 2 years in a row, and the next 2 she was very sick. The doctor told us that because she got sick the first year, she associates the Christmas decorations with getting sick.
We toned down all holiday activities and started spending more time just being with the kids and doing things calmly. Things finally got better for Kaytlin, but we kept the "keep it simple" routine from then on. It is great not to rush and spend and decorate and attend every event known to man!
The makers of Baby Einstein also believe that parents need to connect and play with their children. Spending quality time with children is so important. They have made so many great products to help parents focus and spend time helping their children learn, while having fun and quality time together.

The videos are great fun, with all sorts of activities, songs and other things to make them entertaining and to get your child involved.
I like their great books, especially the touch and feel books that bring the child into the story. The more senses you use, the more they learn. The poems are cute and fun, but you can also make the animal sounds and have them touch the different textures.

Any of the wonderful Baby Einstein products would make a great gift for new parents and young babies and toddlers. I will be giving some to my niece who is going to be 10 months old at Christmas.

Thanks, Mom Central, for another great product to talk about!
