Jenga Girl Talk

Jenga is a long-loved game of mine. It is intense, but fun. For those that don't know, Jenga is a set of rectangular blocks that you stack up in sets of 3 alternating directions. Then you pull one block out at a time and stack it on the top. Play continues until the stack falls over on someone.

Jenga Girl Talk (available exclusively at Toys R Us) takes a new twist that will have you talking. Literally. After you pull out your block, you have to read and answer the question printed on the block.

These questions are designed for girlfriends. Things like "Who do you have a crush on right now?" are aimed at teens and pre-teens, I'm sure. But there are some good questions, too, like "What is your weakness?" and "Name something that you like about yourself." There were absolutely no inappropriate questions.

The consensus of the adults playing the game was that it was more juvenile in questions, but that it was a great ice breaker and get to know you game.

We particularily enjoyed the Jenga part of the game. We may be just a little competitive as a group.
We got the tower pretty high on our third round. We were always afraid it would topple on each of our turns, but it made it around and around long after we thought it would go down.

One of the times it toppled there was a bit of a coffee spill on someone. Thankfully there were no burns!

But overall, it really is a safe game. We had fun and everyone agrees that it would make a great gift to your 11-18 year old daughters. It would be a great ice breaker at a sleep over, or a girl scout meeting, or anything like that.

A big thank you to Hasbro and their PR company for sending me a sample to review!

Hmmm...I thought I'd left a comment here earlier, I don't know what happened to it. Hey, GREAT pictures! Teehee. Jenga was really fun, with or without the silly questions. I love the expression of concentration on Pam's face. That's hilarious!
