I had to work today so Donnie got to play Mr. Mom for a few hours. It is kind of nice having him home. He is actually starting to see where I need help with the kids now. Like potty training Samuel.
Last night Sam was crying and acting like he needed to go to the bathroom, so I busted in the bathroom not caring at all who was in there. I needed the potty chair NOW. Thankfully it was Donnie and not one of the boys, lol.
So I sat Sam down and told him to go poo in the potty, and he can go potty with Daddy. He cried and got mad and I let him snuggle his face in me, but not get up. I knew he had to go. I tried explaining that poo-poo goes in the potty.
Not a chance.
Today Donnie heard him crying on the stairs and went to see what his problem was. He changed his diaper and found some poop, but it was obvious that Sam still needed to go. So he put the poop in the potty chair and Sam said "poo potty?" And he sat down to go. Donnie sat down, too, to encourage him. He talked it up "poo potty chair!"
Then he stood up and cried as the poo fell on the floor.
Soooo close!
Donnie grabbed some tissue and put it in the potty. Sam was all good with the poo in the potty but said "No!" to the tissue in there just before he grabbed it and threw it on the floor.
Do you think Donnie will get Sam trained? That would make us close to even in potty training~ Lisa-6

3 people think my kids are qtpies:
I was wondering how things were going with Donnie home! And here it is!
He can do it! Go Sam, Go!
Fun when daddy sees the world through mom's eyes. :)
Donnie can even it up a little more - I'll bring Charlie over for him!
Otherwise - you could have 5 more!
