Never tell people you actually know in real life that you have a blog. Never. Because you lose great blog fodder when you know that people they know will read it and know who it is, lol.
Though I still call my mom's family the Looney Bin, 'cause they are crazy and can't deny it. All I have to do is open their medicine cabinets if they try, hehe. Love you guys!

I've discovered this too. You lose a lot of good material as people start reading your posts.
This is true, but it helps me be a "kinder gentler" blogger, too!
I kept my blog from the family as long as I could, then I started getting the inevitable advice on "you should blog that!" or "you are NOT going to put that on your blog are you?"
Of course, then you can blackmail folks once they know about your blog.
LOL, I've thought the same thing. I can't call the whackos by their pet names like Ms. Know it All or Little Won't Shut Up because they're too obvious! :)
