I have a few great things posted over at my Good Stuff blog. Tons and tons of contests! I can't believe how many there are.
Sunday Contests and more contests.
I learned to knit this past week! Amazing! I've always wanted to know how to knit my own dishcloths, and now I have knit two! Kaytlin and Hope-Anne learned along with me, and they are working on scarves.
I posted about some interesting happenings in the flatulence department recently and then by coincidence had the conversation with Drew and his friend Joey. Joey and their friend Joe do not think girls should pass gas in front of people, I mean, really, it is p00p particles in the AIR for crying out loud. Drew says it is fine, no one should hold it in. But they all think it is perfectly acceptable for guys to pass gas wherever and whenever because guys are associated with p00p particles in the air!
OK, don't understand guys, but still agree, girls should pretend they do not fart. If for no other reason than to establish our superiority.
Samuel said our dogs name today. Seeing as he doesn't say much at all, Ratchet is a pretty big deal. He says Mama and Da on a regular basis, but not much else. We let the dog in the house today and he starts yelling "Raaaette, Raaaaette" in his cute little voice.
We had a blessing service at our church today. It is really neat, we just line up and take turns being blessed and prayed for by our elders.
I missed a women's ministry meeting this morning. With being sick for the last week and sitting up with a screaming Samuel almost the entire night the night before, I just slept in today. Totally forgot. And I am the leader. Nice, huh? I'm having a hard time staying in that ministry right now. I never wanted to do it in the first place, but now that it is difficult, I am even more unhappy doing it. Not that it is all bad, it has been a blessing, I just wasn't prepared for the conflict and attitudes that come with the position of leader. Being questioned for everything I do, being contradicted and challenged at every turn, it is wearing me down. But I think God is trying to grow me. I wasn't looking at it that way, but sitting in church today, determined to quit, I thought about our pastors. They deal with people who are negative, fight everything they do, whine and complain and bring everyone down. They are a lot more skilled at this than I am. But then our pastor was preaching about following, growing and leading. It kind of hit me upside the head a bit. I am still not in the right attitude, but I know that I will be. I have to grow and mature and learn to deal with difficulties with grace and dignity and not with personal feelings. Growth so I can lead.
Yesterday Devon happened to have a view of Kaytlin's room and saw the cat jump up on the bed and grab the string from the ceiling fan and turn the light on, lol.
Coming this week:
Book review
Game review
Hopefully my teens will do something stupid to blog about
Something cute said by Trinity or Sam??
I am not into politics at all, I seriously just let Donnie tell me who to vote for. Not that I don't have an opinion, I just hate following the politics of it all. Donnie and I agree on our views, so I trust him, and we don't vote against each other.
That said, this is just funny, not an endorsement, though I think Huckabee is probably on our list of people we would vote for.
