Christmas events

This has been a crazy week for us, of course. Drew was planning on coming home Christmas Eve, but the weather has been so bad in South Dakota that the buses stopped service and the state even closed down the interstate! So, here is it 4 days after he planned to leave that he finally got on a bus heading East. 4 wasted days of leave, later.

We had a great Christmas Day at home. The kids didn't wake up until around 9, and we had breakfast and a Christmas story, then stockings. The kids begged to do presents in the morning, and since Drew wasn't going to make it, we didn't wait. It was a lot of fun surprising the kids with what we gave them. After lunch the kids started making snowmen and having snowball fights. It was a snow storm, but it wasn't cold out. Cody didn't even wear long sleeves, much less a coat, outside.

On Saturday we traveled to my dad's house which is pretty far away. The TV's we bought for the car didn't work, and that made for a looooong trip. But we got our money back for them. The day at my dad's was a lot of fun. Good food, snowmobiling and laughter!

On Sunday we had a long, but weird and fun day. We did Christmas with Donnie's family at our house, and amazingly Donnie's mom got to leave her month-long hospital stay and come to the Christmas party! And she got out just in time to get here, too!

Now Drew is finally on his way here, so we'll have to have another Christmas celebration! Bummer, huh? LOL

I'll post pics and stories of each event as I have time. I have lots of things that I need to blog or want to blog, and you will see why I have been staying away from blogging daily.
