Our 7 Qtpies

Too much yard saling

We are going through our clothes to give some to our church's community clothing giveaway. Let's just say that there is a bit of an excess at our house. I'm trying to be ruthless on my clothes.
I'm giving away all, or most, of my baby clothes, too. Hope-Anne is going to be the worst, though. She has WAAAYYY too much. She is just so easy to buy for! Kaytlin is ridiculously hard to buy for, so she has nothing to give away, and has very little to wear. Because I can't, or don't dare, buy for her, and she HATES shopping, her pickings are slim. The boys pretty much destroy what they own, so very little there, lol.

I'm guessing Hope-Anne won't need school clothes.

Oh, so cool! I used some gift cards I had for school supplies, and I had purchased a bunch of notebooks on sale for $.05 recently. I am almost done shopping and I spent less than $5 out of pocket so far on supplies. Oh, wait, Donnie bought some backpacks, so we spent $19 so far. I just can't believe how little I need to spend out of my pocket! I may even be a conformist and buy the kleenex that our schools think we should supply for them. (I draw the line at supplying the teachers with staples, baggies, correcting pens, whiteboard pens AND hand sanitizer!)

I had to laugh I though my boys were the only one to trash their clothes, not so much shirts but all their jeans ALWAYS gets holes in the knees...
I am behind on my school suppy buying, Maveric had major surgery last week so I need to get hopping school starts in 2 weeks...

I was so excited to find those notebooks at Target for 10 cents! I felt like that lady from the IKEA commercial who goes running out of the store like some bank robber because she felt like she "stole" the merchandise. (Love that commercial!) Anyway, I bought every one of those 10 cent notebooks, only to find that Wal-mart had the same ones for 5 cents! Those must be the ones you got! Still, I guess 10 cents isn't exactly terrible, so I still feel like that IKEA lady!

I am SO with you on buying those supplies for the teacher. Why aren't the schools spending some of that $$ they get every year to buy things the teachers NEED?!? It blows my mind...they expect ME to buy stuff for the TEACHERS?!?

Okay, enough on that...

I've gotta get busy sorting kids' clothes, too...I HOPE we don't have to buy too much...I know shoes for everyone are on the short list...
